Each clam shell is glued to a hand crafted clay stand before it is painted.  After the painting is dry it is covered with a protective acrylic finish. These ALF creations are a superb conversation piece, make a perfect addition to display in your favorite curio cabinet or in a miniature collection. They make a very nice gift for someone special or a pleasant memory of a Hawai'i vacation. You can almost feel the warm tropical breezes 
SPECIALTY SHELLS
Specialty Shells are chosen for their ability to stand alone and hold a tiny oil painting glued to the opening.  Each shell is weighted inside with common stone. The painting is on an 1/8 inch thick craft wood and is the same canvas as used with the small scenic magnet.
